June 14, 2003....'Scuse me while I whip this out.....

Before I go any further, Hittman, I must acknowledge your
new facial growth. I downloaded that picture of you, Bruce, and Dave at the
Padres game on speedwagon.com, and
I almost fell out of my chair! WOW!! Very nice!! I think you should keep that
look full time. It looks very handsome and very studly. I'm definitely
impressed! (Kim mops her sweaty brow).
Last fall, I sent Neal a CD of all my projects in computer class. One of those projects was my unique interpretation of the campfire scene in Blazing Saddles, where I edited footage from that scene with a .wav file about National Baked Bean Month. In honor of the fact that B.S. is your all-time favorite movie, I named my project "Hittman's Movie." I hope you had as much fun watching it as I did putting it together. I used a video editing application called Adobe Premiere, and it was a blast! I'd like to do more timeline/multimedia work in the future.
In the horse department, there's not much to report. The horses that live next door have been verrrrry quiet lately, although I do see them out in the paddock from time to time as I drive past the neighbor's property. I'd sure love to be able to meet your equine "kids" one of these days, and maybe spend some time helping you muck stalls, clean tack, etc. My love of horses pre-dates my becoming an REO fan, and it's incredibly cool to know that I can share the first love of my life with a member of my favorite rock & roll band.
Now I'm dying to find out what else we have in common. My impression of you over the last 7 years has been a soft-spoken, nice guy and family man, who has a slightly devilish streak, and turns into a lethal force of nature behind his drum kit. I like that polarity a lot! I know you enjoy a lot of adventurous outdoor hobbies & sports. Have you ever done stuff like Outward Bound, or a triathlon? Do you like weekend camping trips? Bruce is an avid fisherman; have you and him ever gone fishing in your spare time, when you manage to pry yourselves off the golf course??
Now
there's a sport even I can love. It's non-violent, graceful, and
relatively straightforward in terms of objective, techniques, and scoring
methods. My blonde brain gets confused watching basketball and football. But
thanks to you guys, I'm turning into a die-hard golf groupie. Hehehehe! I've
seen K.C. play golf on VH-1's Fairway to Heaven. I'd sure like to
see the other 3 REO golfers on TV, too. His long drive is really impressive,
by the way!
Oh, if you like Blazing Saddles, you'll LOVE another Mel Brooks movie, History of the World, Part One. There isn't really a part two, except in the hysterical mock trailer at the end. This movie has more raunchy humor, and takes shameless liberties with well-known historical facts. Mel Brooks has a twisted, warped sense of humor, no doubt about it! He's so cool!
Well, I gotta scoot. Try to stay out of trouble, and I'll catch you on the flip side!
In your letter...you said you couldn't face me....you said you could replace me......
